Dawn Robinson

Dawn Robinson is a financial planner who believes confident decisions come from understanding—not instruction. Her approach is rooted in education, evidence, and collaboration, helping clients make informed choices that align with their goals, values, and family priorities.

With more than 11 years in financial services, Dawn brings a uniquely broad perspective to financial planning. Before entering the industry, she built experience across multiple fields, including engineering and real estate, which shapes the way she evaluates financial decisions today. She believes math and evidence matter, but so does understanding why a strategy works and how it fits into someone’s life. As Dawn often says, “Math never lies,” but context and clarity are essential.

Dawn works one-on-one with individuals and families, guiding them through thoughtful conversations designed to explore options—not dictate outcomes. She never tells clients what they should or shouldn’t do. Instead, she focuses on education, helping clients understand trade-offs, anticipate life’s uncertainties, and feel prepared for changes along the way. Her planning philosophy emphasizes ongoing education, recognizing that financial planning isn’t a one-time event, but a process that evolves as life, laws, and markets change.

In addition to her client work, Dawn shares educational insights through her radio program and podcast, Common Cents with Dawn, further reinforcing her belief that people deserve access to clear, practical financial education.

Dawn holds her Series 7 and 66 registrations and is licensed in life and health insurance.* She resides in Westerly, Rhode Island, with her husband and enjoys time with their two adult children. Outside of work, she serves on several nonprofit boards and enjoys being with family and friends, spending time outdoors, exercising, gardening, and reading.
